About my father حاج بهرام خان صفدرزاده

My father, Mr Bahram safdarzadeh Haghighi was born in Esfahan Iran 1924 ( 1303 Hejry). He grew up in a loving,educated and caring family. His father was Master Haj Mehdi Khan Safdarzadeh Haghighi who was an artist, a merchant and the lover of hand woven carpets. My father was the second child among the 14 children in family. After his graduation from school av literature in Esfahan, he helpt his father with his administration and agriculture in about two years and after that decided to continue his education . He moved to Tehran in the last years of the second world war and attended at the school of Law at Tehran university. In that that time he was accompanied by a relative who also was going to study law. After four years of studying he finaly accomplished his goal and graduated in law.Shortly afterward he was called for the military service. For this purpose he served at the officers academy in two years with the grade of lutenant and an advocacy officer. The last few months of his service he was appointed as a high military law officer in his fathers town Isfahan.

After his service at the academy he went back to the capital city of Tehran to find a job. His first job was at one of Tehrans largest international contracting and constructions companies in which he was a legal expert. After a short while he became succesfull in his job and shortly after that enable to finance his life. He married my mother Irandokht sadri in his age of 30s. His wife ( my mother) was also from an educated , famous and nobel family in Esfahan whose father was the chief of Iran- England oil company in Esfahan.

After the marriage he and my mother moved to Tehran to their new home and strated to bulid a wonderfull life togeather. He continued working with other famous constructions companiies and he soon became familjer with this branch and dedicated his time and knowledge in this field.These companies were among the first leading companies which made the first largest and most important roads and infrastructure in the country in 50 s and 60 s. In the beging of the 1960,s he started his own activity and established a company named " Shahrah" which participaed in Irans most legitimate road and construction´s activities and soon became one of the leading compaies in Iran. In his age of 40 s he left this branch and decided to folow the family´s activity.

Around 1966 he opened his own butik selling persian rugs and carpets mostly designed and fabricated by his brothers in Isfahan. He ran the company until his age of seventies and after that retired.

During his penssion he started with writing poems and memories which continues until now.
